The NFL did the Browns a big favor that they must take advantage of early in the 2024 season
Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Browns are going to have a tough schedule in 2024 and there is no hiding that.

The good news is that good teams find a way to get through those and that is what Cleveland believes they have.

With what may be the most talented roster we have seen in Cleveland in recent memory, there are going to be expectations again after making the playoffs last year. Luckily for the Browns, there is one part of the schedule that stands out as favorable.

Week 3 vs. New York Giants

After traveling to Jacksonville in Week 2, the Browns get the Giants back at home. Cleveland will be the easy favorite in this one and shouldn’t struggle with a team like New York.

The Giants have pieces but are a ways away from being a good team. Daniel Jones is still their quarterback and they lost Saquon Barkley. Drafting Malik Nabers was intriguing and he should be very good for them once he gets going.

Cleveland has to win this game and take care of business against lesser teams. The Giants fall under that category.

Week 4 at Las Vegas Raiders

Traveling to Las Vegas for the first time, Cleveland will take in a Raiders team that they haven’t been able to beat as of late. Cleveland should be able to get it done here against Las Vegas, who does not have a guy on their roster that could currently be their franchise quarterback.

Whether it is Aidan O’Connell or Gardner Minshew, the Browns defense should be able to wreak some havoc and not allow an onslaught from the Raiders offense.

Week 5 at Washington Commanders

Cleveland traveling to Washington to take on what should be an improved Commanders team that will have rookie QB Jayden Daniels at the helm. Anytime a rookie quarterback is going up against Myles Garrett, I feel pretty good about the Browns’ chances.

The Browns need to finish this first five-game stretch strong and get off to a strong start in 2024. Cleveland’s schedule gets tougher later in the season and picking up wins over teams that you should beat will be crucial.
