What a week! If you tailed my strikeout prop bets for the last seven days, you enjoyed a 15-5 week with three 3-0 sweeps. Let's keep it rolling with my three favorite strikeout props for Monday's MLB slate.
I'm going to continue fading pitchers against the Atlanta Braves until it stops working. The Braves are averaging just 6.6 strikeouts per game over the last two weeks, and they lead MLB in runs (94), batting average (.308), and OPS (.960) in that span. Sonny Gray has cleared this number just three times in his last seven starts, and he's gone past the fifth inning only twice.
Dylan Cease has been a top strikeout artist this season with his mark of 10.5 Ks per nine innings, but this is a tough matchup against a hot lineup. The Los Angeles Angels have the third-highest OPS and the fifth-fewest strikeouts in MLB over the past week, and they have the fourth-highest OPS against right-handed pitching this season. I'll take a shot on the +120.
The Washington Nationals are another team I love targeting for strikeout prop unders. As a team, the Nats have the fewest Ks in MLB this season with 532. No other team has fewer than 552. Now they get to face Luis Castillo, who's been brilliant all year but has only cleared this number once in his last four starts. I think this line is one strikeout too high, so I'm fine laying a bit of juice here.
